20 SONGS OF JOY

Released by Warwick in November 1978[1], Bless This House was a compilation of songs with a religious theme recorded by Harry Secombe in the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. There were no tracks released to promote the album, which featured "20 songs of joy" including hymns and traditional songs.

It first entered the UK Albums Chart w/e December 16, 1978 at #18 beginning an initial run of nine weeks. It peaked at #8 the following week, for three weeks. It left the charts in February 1979 but returned w/e December 22, 1979 for a further three weeks when it peaked at #60[2]. Note Official Charts calls the album 20 Songs of Joy, using the same title as the K-Tel release by the Nigel Brooks Singers in 1975.
