It was established by Ian Miles and specialized in producing budget-friendly song compilations, many of which were advertised on TV, and often given away as promotional items with other products, such as magazines. Warwick Records collaborated with major labels like CBS Records and Pye Records to release compilations from their catalogues.

Windmill was a UK 1970s budget label specialising in Easy Listening releases and compilations. It had a sublabel called Parade Of Pops. The label was succeeded by Chevron.
