Supercar: "Rescue"

Bill and Jimmy Gibson and their pet chimpanzee Mitch are stranded in a life raft after their aircraft, Falcon 25, suffers engine failure and ditches into the sea 30 miles from Devil’s Point. Bill is injured in the crash and the trio are left without any supplies when Mitch playfully throws them overboard. A heavy fog settles and the Navy rescue helicopter is unable to locate the raft, so Mike Mercury suggests to Professor Popkiss and Dr Beaker that Supercar be given a test run to rescue the Gibsons and Mitch, using Beaker’s Clear-Vu apparatus to find them in the fog. However, Popkiss refuses to jeopardise five years’ work on the car by sending it out on a mission without properly completing its test programme…
