B A Robertson
Scottish composer and singer-songwriter
Brian Alexander Robertson, known as B A Robertson, is a Scottish musician, actor, composer and songwriter who had a string of hits in the late 1970s and early 1980s characterised by catchy pop tunes and jaunty humorous lyrics, including tongue-in-cheek commentary on famous historical and fictional figures. He has also written music for films and been a television presenter[1].
Robertson has released 15 singles in the UK, including duets with Maggie Bell and Frida (ABBA's Anni-Frid Lyngstad), and the BBC's Commonwealth Games theme in 1986[2]. He scored seven UK hits with his best being his first, "Bang Bang" at #2 in 1979[3].
