Anita Ward

Anita Ward is an American singer and musician best known for her 1979 million-selling chart-topper "Ring My Bell"[1].
Ward released three singles in the UK, all in 1979[2], but she is officially a one-hit wonder here, with her first single, "Ring My Bell" going to #1 for two weeks. A remixed version of the song was released in 1990 but only got as far as #99[3].
Her first appearance on an "As advertised on TV" compilation album in the UK was on Warwick's 1979 film soundtrack album Yesterday's Hero.[4]
