Released by K-Tel in 1979[1], Together entered the UK Albums Chart w/e November 24 1979 at #46 beginning a run of eight weeks. It peaked at #35 w/e December 1, 1979 for two weeks[2]. Note: Official Charts have mixed this album up with another K-Tel release, also called Together (NE 2345), which was released in 1986.

It features 18 popular love songs, most of which had been single hits in the UK. The back cover promotes Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of The War of the Worlds, from which "Forever Autumn" by Justin Hayward was taken. It also promotes K-Tel's Classic Rock - The Second Movement (ONE 1039), which was released the previous year, from which the London Symphony Orchestra's rendition of the Beach Boys' "God Only Knows" was taken.

Spotify is missing the album's title track, "Together", by O C Smith, and "You and Me", by Liner.
